I'm Trooper
Boy, if ever a dog had the right name, it's me! I'm a purebred Jack Russell terrier who came to FOAF with two broken front legs. But even then I was an absolute sweetheart. After lots of expert vet care and love I'm pretty much good as new (I have a limp, but I sure don't let that slow me down). I’m a perfect example of the feisty, fun-loving Jack Russell personality, although like many JRs I’m not too good with some other dogs and animals smaller than me. If you love courageous, affectionate, furry little heroes, come by and meet me!
I'm Rocky
I'm a compact, handsome guy with a great smile and an attitude to match. I'm not too big, not too small, with a giant smile for everyone I meet. As you can see, I enjoy walks as well as snuggling time, in fact I'm happy to do whatever you like to do, just so long as we can be together. If you'd like a cheerful, affectionate companion, maybe I'm your guy!
I'm Dexter
I'm just about the cutest little Chihuahua you've ever seen, and I have the sparkling personality to match! I belonged to a homeless man who didn't appreciate me, so he gave me to a kind rescuer who brought me to FOAF. I'm such a good guy and I get along great with other dogs, big and small --so long as they're nice to me -- and I have a big, beautiful smile for everyone I meet.
I'm Spencer
I'm such an elegant, exotic-looking fellow that's it's easy to imagine that in a previous life I strode across an African savannah or the sands of the Sahara. Luckily, in this life I'm a cheerful young guy with the energy and sociability of a puppy. I get along very well with other dogs as well as people, and I can switch easily from romping to cuddling. But even at my goofiest, I'm a handsome, long-legged eyeful.

I'm a quiet, well-behaved little guy, a terrier mix with the most beautiful big brown eyes you've ever seen. I get along well with other dogs and I'm a real charmer, although I'd be best in a home with older or no children.

How they got two serious pictures of me I'll never know, because I'm the biggest goofball here. I'm filled with zest for life and I'm probably the nuttiest guy you'll ever meet. Once I get over the excitement of going for a walk I have great leash manners and I'm so affectionate and happy to see you that I guarantee one minute in my company and you'll feel like a million bucks!

We're two of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, a boyfriend (Magnum)-girlfriend (Tikka) combo who want to stay together. Magnum is a beautiful Rottweiler with the heart of a teddy bear. Tikka is a shy, gentle shepherd mix. Our previous owner was unable to find a home where she could bring us, so we've bonded closely through the tough times. We're a couple who bring smiles to everyone's face and we are genuinely beloved for our sweet personalities.
I'm Autumn
Some dogs get rescued; some dogs go out and try to find a better life. I started out with not-so-nice people who overbred me and badly cropped my ears. So one day I camped out on a stranger's doorstep looking for a loving new life. I'm not a puppy anymore, and it can be hard to find a home when you're a pit bull bred not to like other dogs. But I'm loyal, I have a loving heart, and I'm hoping someone sees what a good girl I really am.

Maybe no dog is perfect, but I come pretty darn close. I'm such a sweet and friendly girl -- I just love everybody! I'm also the perfect size, not too fragile, but just the right medium-size that makes me a great fit for any size human. The one thing you can't see here is I also have the most gorgeous smile; and any time I'm with you -- I'm smiling!

What a sweetheart I am! I'm a Lab mix who, in my heart, is really a snuggly lapdog. Even though I may start out shy (I was abandoned in the desert as a puppy), I'm hoping to find that one person, or that one loving family for whom I can be a loyal companion, a comfy couch potato-buddy, a friend to take long walks with, and a so-happy-to-see-you official greeter after a tough day at work.

Even though I have the name of a king I was rescued from a County shelter where I was scared and sick. But as you can see now I'm happy, healthy and confident, with a beautiful, caramel-colored coat, gorgeous amber eyes, and a sweet, cheerful personality. I get along well with dogs and people and love to be where the action is (and where the treats are too!)

I'm an active, alert guy, medium-sized with a gorgeous brindle coat. It's so much fun just taking a walk with me because I have such a good time: I want to smell everything, go everywhere, check out every leaf. I'm a purebred German Shepherd Dog and I'm amazingly intelligent, as well as beautiful. Like most German Shepherds, I'm no instant pushover, but once I get to know you I'm silly and affectionate and very loyal. I'm good with other dogs and I love a good walk followed by a nice chest rub. If you're looking for true, intelligent devotion we may be a match.

As you can see, I'm an extremely handsome Lab mix, not a young guy, but I still like a nice toy to play with. Like many older folks, I'm a little set in my ways, so I probably would prefer a home with older kids, or maybe older folks like myself. I'm smart and a good companion, and I have super-great leash manners -- it's an absolute pleasure to take a stroll with me.

I came to FOAF and they thought I might be a little chunky, until about a week later when they realized I was getting ready to have a bunch of puppies! Well, I had nine beauties and I was just as good a mom as can be, but now my babies have found homes, it's time for Mom to find that special loving family I've definitely earned.

I may look serious, but I'm really a goofy clown of a girl. I'm definitely some kind of Hound mix, because when I go out walking my nose is always an inch from the ground, with my tail high in the air -- and you should see my excitement when I see an exotic, unusual species like a squirrel -- and boy do I love people! They're the best!
